Every instance of indisposition in the nurse is liable to affect the infant.

And this leads me to observe, that it is a common mistake to suppose that, because a woman is nursing, she ought therefore to live very fully, and to add an allowance of wine, porter, or other fermented liquor, to her usual diet. The only result of this plan is, to cause an unnatural degree of fulness in the system, which places the nurse on the brink of disease, and which of itself frequently puts a stop to the secretion of the milk, instead of increasing it. The right plan of proceeding is plain enough; only let attention be paid to the ordinary laws of health, and the mother, if she have a sound constitution, will make a better nurse than by any foolish deviation founded on ignorance and caprice.

The following case proves the correctness of this statement:

A young lady, confined with her first child, left the lying-in room at the expiration of the third week, a good nurse, and in perfect health. She had had some slight trouble with her nipples, but this was soon overcome.

The porter system was now commenced, and from a pint to a pint and a half of this beverage was taken in the four and twenty hours. This was resorted to, not because there was any deficiency in the supply of milk, for it was ample, and the infant thriving upon it; but because, having become a nurse, she was told that it was usual and necessary, and that without it her milk and strength would ere long fail.

After this plan had been followed for a few days, the mother became drowsy and disposed to sleep in the daytime; and headach, thirst, a hot skin, in fact, fever supervened; the milk diminished in quantity, and, for the first time, the stomach and bowels of the infant became disordered. The porter was ordered to be left off; remedial measures were prescribed; and all symptoms, both in parent and child, were after a while removed, and health restored.

Having been accustomed, prior to becoming a mother, to take a glass or two of wine, and occasionally a tumbler of table beer, she was advised to follow precisely her former dietetic plan, but with the addition of half a pint of barley-milk morning and night. Both parent and child continued in excellent health during the remaining period of suckling, and the latter did not taste artificial food until the ninth month, the parent's milk being all-sufficient for its wants.

No one can doubt that the porter was in this case the source of the mischief. The patient had gone into the lying-in-room in full health, had had a good time, and came out from her chamber (comparatively) as strong as she entered it. Her constitution had not been previously worn down by repeated child-bearing and nursing, she had an ample supply of milk, and was fully capable, therefore, of performing the duties which now devolved upon her, without resorting to any unusual stimulant or support. Her previous habits were totally at variance with the plan which was adopted; her system became too full, disease was produced, and the result experienced was nothing more than what might be expected.

The plan to be followed for the first six months. Until the breast- milk is fully established, which may not be until the second or third day subsequent to delivery (almost invariably so in a first confinement), the infant must be fed upon a little thin gruel, or upon one third water and two thirds milk, sweetened with loaf sugar.

After this time it must obtain its nourishment from the breast alone, and for a week or ten days the appetite of the infant must be the mother's guide, as to the frequency in offering the breast. The stomach at birth is feeble, and as yet unaccustomed to food; its wants, therefore, are easily satisfied, but they are frequently renewed. An interval, however, sufficient for digesting the little swallowed, is obtained before the appetite again revives, and a fresh supply is demanded.

At the expiration of a week or so it is essentially necessary, and with some children this may be done with safety from the first day of suckling, to nurse the infant at regular intervals of three or four hours, day and night. This allows sufficient time for each meal to be digested, and tends to keep the bowels of the child in order. Puting beliung disebut juga tornado. Bentuknya berupa pusaran angin yang berkembang dari awan hitam tebal (cumulonimbus). Dari awan, pusaran angin turun sampai ke permukaan bumi. Bentuknya berupa terowongan awan yang mengecil di bagian bawah, dengan serpihan material berpusar di sekitarnya. Jadi agak mirip belalai gajah. Materialnya berupa debu, pasir atau serpihan batu.

Puting beliung yang sangat kuat bisa menghancurkan bangunan, bahkan mampu mengangkat rumah dari fondasinya. Angin ini juga mampu melontarkan kendaraan ke udara, dan kuat mengangkat kereta api dari relnya.

Puting beliung memang bisa terjadi di semua benua kecuali Antartika. Negara yang paling sering mengalami puting beliung adalah AS. Di Indonesia puting beliung bisa terjadi, tetapi tidak begitu kuat. Ini adalah keuntungan kita yang terletak di ekuator dan sekitarnya. Terjadinya puting beliung dimulai dengan adanya awan cumulonimbus. Dari bagian atas awan, udara yang kering dan dingin bergerak turun. Sementara itu, udara yang panas dan mengandung uap air dari permukaan bumi bergerak naik. Keduanya bertabrakan sehingga terjadilah pusaran angin. Arah pusarannya bergantung lokasinya. Bila puting beliung terjadi di selatan khatulistiwa, arah pusarannya searah dengan putaran jarum jam. Sebaliknya, bila puting beliung terjadi di utara khatulistiwa, arah pusarannya berlawanan arah dengan putaran jarum jam.

Tanda-tanda puting beliung diawali munculnya bentuk mirip ujung belalai dari awan. Angin bertiup kencang. Kadang disertai gerimis dan sambaran petir. Debu membumbung membentuk corong dengan moncong menghadap ke atas.

Selama puting beliung berlangsung, orang sebaiknya segera mencari perlindungan di ruang bawah tanah. Tempat berlindung bisa juga di bagian dalam gedung yang konstruksinya paling kuat. Kalau kita di dalam kendaraan, sebaiknya segera menjauh karena dapat terguling. Kalau kita di dekat pohon, juga segera menjauh karena dapat roboh. Bangunan-bangunan yang besar dan luas seperti aula, dan gedung olah raga rawan roboh sehingga harus dihindari. Jika kita sudah terlanjur di luar dan ada puting beliung, sebaiknya segera tiarap dan melindungi kepala kita dari material yang dibawanya.

Contrary, Fox claimed that it was her choice to pull out of the third movie, and that she “wished the franchise all the best”.

The brunette bombshell, notorious for her provocative remarks to the press, engaged in a public row with the director over the release of ‘Transformers 2’ last summer. Later, Bay defended her and said that he hoped to work with her on the third offering.

In an interview in September last year, Fox said of Bay: “He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for, but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward”.

She was subsequently called “dumb as a rock” by the ‘Transformers’ crew, who were thought to be responsible for an anonymous web posting wherein she was described to be a “thankless, classless and graceless” idiot who is better suited for a porn career.

“I don’t condone the crew letter to Megan. And I don’t condone Megan’s outlandish quotes. But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm”, Bay said at the time.

John James Audubon (April 26, 1785 – January 27, 1851) was a French-American ornithologist, naturalist, hunter, and painter. He painted, catalogued, and described the birds of North America in a manner far superior to what had gone before. Born in the French colony of Saint Domingue (now Haiti) and raised in France as a youth, in his embrace of America and his outsize personality and achievements, he represented the new American people of the United States.

Audubon was born in the Les Cayes in the French colony of Saint Domingue^[1] on his father's sugar plantation. He was the illegitimate son of Lieutenant Jean Audubon, a French naval officer (and privateer), and his mistress Jeanne Rabin, a chambermaid recently arrived from France. They named the boy Jean Rabin.^[2] His mother died when the boy was a few months old, as she had suffered from tropical diseases since arriving on the island. His father already had two mixed-race children by his mulatto housekeeper, Sanitte, and he took up with her again and had another daughter following Jeanne Rabin's death. Sanitte also took care of the infant boy Jean.^[3]

During the American Revolution, Jean Audubon was imprisoned by the British Empire. After his release, he helped the American cause.^[4] A slave rebellion in Saint-Domingue in 1788 convinced Jean Audubon to sell his holdings and return to France with his French son and infant mixed-race daughter, who was very fair (she was the daughter of Sanitte).^[5]^[6]

The boy was raised by his father and stepmother Anne Moynet Audubon in Nantes, France, who formally adopted both the children in 1794. They renamed the boy Jean-Jacques Fougère Audubon. When Audubon at age 18 boarded ship for immigration to the United States in 1803, he changed his name to an anglicized form: John James Audubon.

From his earliest days, Audubon had an affinity for birds. "I felt an intimacy with them...bordering on frenzy must accompany my steps through life."^[8] His father encouraged his interest in nature; "he would point out the elegant movement of the birds, and the beauty and softness of their plumage. He called my attention to their show of pleasure or sense of danger, their perfect forms and splendid attire. He would speak of their departure and return with the seasons."^[9]

In France during the chaotic years of the French Revolution and its aftermath, Audubon grew up to be a handsome and gregarious young man. He played flute and violin, and learned to ride, and dance. He was hearty and a great walker, and loved roaming in the woods, often returning with natural curiosities, including birds' eggs and nests, of which he made crude drawings. His father planned to make a seaman of his son. At twelve, Audubon went to military school and became a cabin boy. He quickly found out that he was susceptible to seasickness and not fond of mathematics or navigation. After failing the officer's qualification test, Audubon ended his incipient naval career. He was cheerfully back on solid ground and exploring the fields again, focusing on birds.

Setelah melalui proses panjang persidangan akhirnya , Kasus Penyebaran video porno dan tindak pidana asusila yang melibatkan artis Ariel alian Nasril Ilham divonis hari ini dengan hukuman penjara 3 tahun 6 bulan dan denda 250 juta. Jadi ingat waktu jaman mahasiswa dulu waktu gencar-gencarnya MLM di Indonesia, ya waktu itu sedang krisis moneter , pekerjaan sulit di dapat, pengangguran dimana-mana akhirnya banyak yang tertarik masuk MLM , dengan iming-iming kaya dan penghasilan tetap yang tinggi tiap bulannya. Padahal MLM dengan sistem Piramida pasti hanya akan menguntungkan yang pertama dan semakin banyak member maka yang terakhhirlah akan merasakan pahitnya.

Nah jika kita sudah gabung maka saya ingat yang pertama kali harus bikin adalah daftar barang yang diimpikan , misalnya rumah, mobil, tour keliling dunia ataupun kawin demikianlah pada akhirnya saya sempat juga ikut dan he he akhirnya keluar tanpa mendapatkan apa-apa kecuali kehabisan modal dan dana

Kesabaran Berbuah Singa

Dalam kitab al–Kabair, Imam adz–Dzahabi meriwayatkan kisah orang shalih yang memiliki saudara. Suatu saat ketika ia berkunjung, ia disambut istri saudaranya itu dengan kasar dan tidak sopan. Tak lama kemudian, orang yang ditunggu–tunggu datang sambil menuntun seekor singa yang di atas punggungnya terdapat seikat kayu bakar.

Kemudian, ia mempersilakan tamunya masuk sedangkan istrinya masih terus mengomel. Setelah makan, tamunya itu pamit pulang dengan penuh heran atas kesabaran saudaranya pada perlakuan istrinya.

Tahun berikutnya ia berkunjung lagi. Ketika mengetuk rumah saudaranya, dari dalam terdengar suara istri saudaranya, “Siapa di luar?” ia menjawab, “Saya saudara suamimu.” Wanita itu berkata lagi, “ Selamat datang, harap menunggu sebentar, Insya Allah ia akan datang dengan selamat.” Orang itu kagum pada tutur kata istri saudaranya yang lembut dan sopan itu. Tak lama kemudian, saudaranya datang sambil memikul kayu bakar. Bertambah heranlah ia melihat kejadian itu.

Setelah mengucapkan salam, pemilik rumah mempersilakan tamunya. Tak lama kemudian, istri saudaranya itu menghidangkan makanan dengan sopan. Ketika akan pulang, ia berkata pada saudaranya, “ Wahai saudaraku, jawab dengan jujur. Setahun lalu ketika aku mengunjungimu, kudengar kata – kata istrimu yang kasar. Lalu aku melihatmu datang dengan seekor singa yang selalu menuruti perintahmu membawakan kayu bakar. Sedang kini kulihat tutur kata istrimu yang sopan, namun aku melihatmu membawa kayu bakar sendirian.”

Saudaranya menjawab, “ Wahai saudaraku, istriku yang cerewet itu telah wafat. Dulu ketika kami hidup bersama, aku selalu bersabar dan memaafkan segala perilakunya yang buruk padaku. Karena itulah Allah menjinakkan seekor singa agar membantuku membawa kayu bakar. Setelah menikah dengan istri keduaku yang salihah, aku hidup bahagia dan singa itu meninggalkanku.”

Postingan terakhir aku 13 Juli kemarin sekarang udah 3 Agustus berarti hampir 20 hari aku nggak posting, berhubung karena ujian masuk SECABA baru diadakan setelah Idul Fitri akhirnya aku jalan-jalan deh keliling Sulawesi Selatan mencari tempat-tempat eksotis yang bisa aku kunjungi dengan teman-teman pencinta alam aku, entah itu gunung atau pinggir pantai pokoknya keliling deh , tapi masih di Sulawesi Selatan.Nantilah aku akan posting satu demi satu fotonya.

Sesampai di Rumah sebuah paket telah menunggu aku , paket itu adalah hadiah dari menulis cerita inspirasi di blog mbak Anazkia kemarin dimana hadiahnya dua buah buku yang dikirim oleh mas joe sang empunya www. cerita inspirasi.net.

Bukunya ada dua yaitu yang pertama novel salah satu film yang pernah ditulis resensinya oleh bang iwan di postingannya : Tanah Air Beta

Sebuah Novel yang Sangat cantik dengan hiasan 22 foto adegan film tersebut , novel ini dikarang oleh Sefryana Khairil.

Kemudian buku kedua sebuah buku yang cocok untuk seseorang yang akan memulai sebuah usaha di bidang apa saja, bukunya berjudul Interior Ruang Usaha karangan A. Wicaksono

Melihat buku ini saya jadi ingat dengan sahabat pak Munir yaitu kang Dadang di Medan, buku ini tentang cara menata interior ruang usaha dengan berbagai macam jenis usaha, jadi kalau ingin menata ruang usaha atau toko anda buku ini rasanya cocok untuk dimiliki. Bahwa sesungguhnya bertakwa kepada Allah mencakup segala sesuatu, maka bertakwalah kamu kepada Allah di dalam beribadah kepada penolongmu, jangan kamu anggap remeh, dan bertakwalah kamu kepada Allah pada (hak-hak) saudara-saudaramu, janganlah kamu sakiti salah seorang dan mereka, dan bertakwalah kamu kepada Allah pada (hak-hak) negerimu: Janganlah kamu khianati dia dan jangan kamu biarkan musuh menguasainya, serta bertakwalah kamu pada (hak-hak) dirimu, janganlah kamu sia-siakan waktu sehatmu dan janganlah kamu berperilaku kecuali perilaku yang mulia.
